Negative Effects of Too Low Water Temperature for Diesel Genset

Diesel generator set is a highly consumable device, so users must consider fuel consumption. Users will mostly buy the diesel generator set of low fuel consumption, and then know how to use it more efficiently. The problem is that many users may think the lower water temperature of the generator set, the better. In fact, this is the wrong understanding.
Some believe if the water temperature is low, cooling water will not be interrupted. But in fact, the water temperature does not exceed 95 ℃, cooling water will not be interrupted. And if the water temperature is too low, there will be the following harms:
1）If the temperature is low, combustion condition of the fuel in the cylinder becomes poor, the ignition period is increased, so the engine works roughly, damaging crankshaft bearing and piston ring, reducing the power and economy.
2) After the combustion, water vapor will easily condense in the cylinder wall, causing metal corrosion.
3) The diesel may dilute the oil to affect the lubrication.
4) The fuel will not completely burn to form colloid, made piston ring stuck in the groove, the valve stuck, and pressure drop.
5) Too low water temperature makes low oil temperature, thickening oil, worse fluidity, less oil from oil pump, resulting in insufficient fuel supply, smaller crankshaft bearing clearance and poor lubrication.
